Lyons talks of Royal Ascot hopes Ger Lyons feels Glastonbury Song should not be underestimated in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot on Wednesday. After winning two of his first three starts, the Casamento colt was thrown in at the deep end for the Irish 2,000 Guineas and performed creditably to finish fourth behind the brilliant Churchill. He is set for a drop in grade and distance in Berkshire and although he is as big as 33-1 with some bookmakers, Lyons is keen on his chances. He said: "He ran a cracker in the Guineas. That was soft ground over a mile and we were never fancying him. "He gets all his conditions at Ascot - seven furlongs on fast ground - and he's not one I'd be forgetting about too quick." Glastonbury Song is set to form part of a small but select team of runners for the County Meath-based trainer at the summer showpiece meeting. "Treasuring's time figures are good from her win in Navan. She shows absolutely zero at home. Hopefully she goes for the Queen Mary, but she holds plenty of entries," Lyons told At The Races. "The good filly Black Sails, her main objective would be the Albany with the Chesham second (choice). I wouldn't like to run her on very firm ground, she has a future, but ultimately Royal Ascot is Sheikh Fahad's (owner) week. That is what he craves and that's what I have to do. "Gold Spinner and Lightening Fast will go for either the Hampton Court or the Britannia."
