Magic makes all in Tingle Creek Twist Magic made every yard of the running under Ruby Walsh to land the Keith Prowse Hospitality Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown. The 9-4 shot was smartly away and galloped his rivals into the ground to give trainer Paul Nicholls a fifth consecutive win in the Grade One race. Forpadydeplasterer was the only one to really make a decent shot of challenging the winner but Twist Magic was far too good, while favourite Big Zeb was never in contention. Well Chief was third. Twist Magic won the race in 2007 but only became the Nicholls first string after reigning champion Master Minded was ruled out through injury. Walsh gave a textbook display of front-running tactics aboard the seven-year-old, letting him bowl along in front and he barely made a mistake. Turning for home Walsh was ultra-confident, glancing back to see Forpadydeplasterer and Well Chief toiling in his wake while Big Zeb was already out of contention. He only had to keep Twist Magic up to the task and he powered up the Sandown hill to triumph by 15 lengths. Totesport and Victor Chandler slashed Twist Magic to 10-1 from 20s for the Queen Mother Champion Chase while Sky Bet go 8-1 from the same price. Master Minded remains the 7-4 favourite with Totesport. Walsh said: "He jumped the first couple well and never missed a beat. He handled the ground well and the others could never get close to him. "It was a terrific performance and Paul was very keen on him. He was spectacular all the way down the back and was neat and nimble at the last. "It was a great performance and to ride a two-miler like that round here takes some beating." He added: "It's great to have a choice (between Twist Magic and Master Minded) but there's lots of bridges to cross between now and Cheltenham."
