Majestic has Chester target Trainer Dermot Weld has reported Majestic Concorde to be “tired, sore and a little dehydrated” following his Aintree Grand National bid yesterday, which ended at the Canal Turn second time around. Majestic Concorde had dropped back from his earlier prominent position when blundering and unseating Robbie McNamara (whose saddle had slipped at that point) at the Canal Turn second time around. Weld today stated “Majestic Concorde is tired, sore and a little dehydrated today but is out grazing again now. We may skip Punchestown with him and bring him back to the Flat for the Chester Cup instead.” Thomas Weekes
