A winner at Sligo last time, Manoir De Mirande followed up for Gordon Elliott when easily landing the RBC Brewin Dolphin Rated Novice Hurdle at Ballinrobe.

Sent off 4/1 under Jack Kennedy, the Gigginstown House Stud owned four-year-old travelled strongly throughout the contest.

Moving through to head Lureka Du Noyer after the last, the son of It's Gino powered clear on the run-in to win by two-and-a-half lengths.

"I got a handy lead at Roscommon, where he was nearly carried out, and a handy lead at Sligo the last day, but I knew he wouldn't get it so handy today, so we just followed away," said jockey Jack Kennedy.

"He was a bit behind the bridle, but picked up well in the straight.

"It's amazing the confidence they get from winning, and he's come on since Sligo."
