Mark Walsh in dark about return date Mark Walsh, who still leads the race to be champion jockey, will not know when he can return to action for at least another three weeks. Walsh, who rides the majority of owner JP McManus' horses in Ireland, had been enjoying by far his best ever season, with several Graded-race wins on the likes of Gilgamboa and Kitten Rock. His progress was halted last month in a fall at Thurles which saw him break an arm and an ankle. A visit to see a specialist did not throw much light on a return date. "I have to go back in three weeks," said Walsh. "I honestly don't know if I'll be back for Punchestown. I'm not saying yes or no, I just don't know."
