Market movers at Fakenham Two of the best-backed horses cross-channel today are former Irish performers with Rocky Elsom a lively one for the 2.50 at Fakenham, the Mulled Wine Novices' Handicap Chase. Placed here on the level for John Oxx, the Rock Of Gibraltar gelding, twice a winner in England, has been backed from around 10/1 into a current top quote of 5/1 for David Arbuthnot and Tom Cannon. The six-year-old would have a leading chance on his hurdles form if he can find his best now on chase start number three. Meanwhile half-an-hour later, also at Fakenham, Great Oak, who did John Nicholson proud here when winning five times, is very strong in the morning market for the Thoroughbred Breeders' Association Mares' Novices' Hurdle. A winner since going across to Tim Vaughan (for £35,000 last January), Great Oak will again be partnered by Richard Johnson. She's been hammered from around 3/1 into a current best-price of 6/4 for the concluding two miler. (EM)
