Emmet Mullins' Carrarea has been backed in the opening 4-year-old novice hurdle at 4.35.

The dual bumper winner is 7/4 from 10/3 and just shades favouritism ahead of Willie Mullins' pair Farout and Tax For Max

The latter's Captain Kangaroo (6/1 from 10s) has attracted support for the 3m handicap hurdle at 7.45 where his nephew Emmet again has the market leader in the shape of Blackstair Rocco (7/2 from 9/2).

Mark Walsh's mount Magic Tricks (11/2 into 13/2) is favourite at the moment for the featured Guinness Galway Hurdle at 6.15 and in the following contest at 6.45, Barry Connell's handicap debutant Hgranca De Thaix has shortened from 12/1 into 8/1.
