Marnane double handed in Nunthorpe David Marnane is double-handed as four Irish runners figure among the field of 20 for the Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes at York on Friday. Marnane will run both Nocturnal Affair and Dandy Boy in the Group One five-furlong contest. Dandy Boy will relish the faster conditions having failed to figure on heavy ground in the July Cup while Nocturnal Affair, who enjoyed a fine winter in Dubai, is sure to be spot on for this after finishing second in Listed company on his return to action at Tipperary two weeks ago. Pat Dobbs will ride Dandy Boy with Richard Hughes getting the leg up on Nocturnal Affair. 2010 winner Sole Power has become a fixture in top class sprinting and will be seeking reward for his consistency. Wayne Lordan is set to be reunited with Eddie Lynam's charge. Mick Halford's Invincible Ash completes the Irish quartet with Kieren Fallon booked for the mare.
