Point to point winenr Marshim shed his racecourse maiden tag at the grand age of ten at Wexford today, winning the Casey Cattle Slats Handicap Hurdle (div 1) under Paul Carberry.

Carberry sent the son of Supreme Leader to the front entering the straight and while untidy at the final obstacle, scored a comfortable three lengths win over Brian The Warrior

Afterwards winning trainer Walter Power said "at last! He is a tough horse to come back after finishing second at Listowel twice and he also finished second here during the summer and fell, when cantering, here another day.

“He seems to go on any ground but has had little problems and I must thank my vet Chris McGrath. He's a great little horse and we will keep him on the go now."
