Martin goes in search of Group 1 glories Tony Martin will have two chances to break his Group One duck on the Flat this weekend after confirming both Quick Jack and Laganore on course for European missions. Talented dual-purpose performer Quick Jack, who finished third behind Melbourne Cup-bound stable companion Heartbreak City in the Ebor at York on his penultimate start, was last seen landing a valuable handicap on Irish Champions Weekend at Leopardstown. The seven-year-old is set to take his chance in the Prix Royal-Oak at Saint-Cloud on Sunday and Martin hopes Ryan Moore will be available for the ride. He said: "Quick Jack has been running in handicaps but Order Of St George and those horses ran at Ascot on Saturday so they won't be running again on Sunday. "As far as I can see there's only about three above our horse on ratings. We'll know after the confirmation stage but the plan is for Quick Jack to run in France. The ground should be fine for him. "If Ryan Moore is in Paris he'll ride." Laganore won the Listed Pride Stakes at Newmarket earlier this month and will contest the Premio Lydia Tessio in Rome, with newly-crowned British champion jockey Jim Crowley keeping the ride. "He (Crowley) was keen to ride Laganore again," Martin told the Irish Times. "There's a couple of 112 rated fillies in Laganore's race, and a 110, but she's fit and healthy and well and entitled to take her chance, just like the other fella."
