Master Minded among ten Game Spirit entries

Master Minded will face a maximum of nine rivals if taking his chance in the totepool Game Spirit Chase at Newbury on Saturday.

The ten-strong field is dominated by two trainers as Paul Nicholls has Takeroc, Andreas and Grade One-winner Noland as well as Master Minded to chose from.

Charlie Mann has three possibles in the shape of Jazz Dance, Moon Over Miami and My Turn Now.

The strongest opposition to the Nicholls team is likely to come from Alan King's 2007 Queen Mother Champion Chase winner Voy Por Ustedes.

The eight-year-old may revert back to the minimum trip after appearing not to stay three miles in the King George VI Chase on St Stephen's Day. He unseated Robert Thorton in the 'Game Spirit' in 2007, and was second to Master Minded 12 months ago.

The field is completed by Kevin Bishop's veteran Ashley Brook and Nigel Twiston-Davies' Mahogany Blaze.
