Tony McCoy accepts Jezki faces another uphill task in defeating Hurricane Fly at Leopardstown on Sunday.

Jessica Harrington's six-year-old renews rivalry in the the BHP Insurance Irish Champion Hurdle after he finished a slightly unlucky second to the extraordinary 18-times Grade One winner in the Ryanair Hurdle.

McCoy hopes to be in the perfect pitch so his partner does not become embroiled in a dash to the line with the Willie Mullins-trained Hurricane Fly, winner of the race for the last three seasons.

McCoy said, "I know Jessie Harrington has been really happy with him and it will no doubt be a similar race to the one at Christmas where we finished second to Hurricane Fly.

"Hopefully we will get a clear run round and Hurricane Fly is obviously the one to beat. How we go about it, we'll have to wait and see but it won't be easy, that's for sure.

"Jezki lacks a little bit of pace and wouldn't have the tactical speed of a horse like Hurricane Fly.

"It will be important to get a clear run round so he doesn't struggle for pace when he tries to pick up."
