McCoy races further into record books

Champion Jockey Tony McCoy created another piece of history today when breaking Richard Dunwoody`s all-time winners record on Mighty Montefalco at Uttoxeter this afternoon.

The Ulsterman's victory on the Jonjo O`Neill-trained gelding took him to 1,700 career wins after he earlier equalled Dunwoody`s record of 1,699 on Dream With Me in the opening race.

McCoy produced a typically strong finish to hold off the challenge of My Good Son on the run in and secure his place in the history books.
