McEvoy In The Wars Kerrin McEvoy has been taken to hospital in Melbourne after suffering a fall at Flemington.McEvoy, who was seriously injured at the same meeting last year, was riding Butterfield in the Crown Trophy when he appeared to clip the heels of Vie, ridden by Dwayne Dunn.The pair crashed to the turf and although Dunn was quickly on his feet, McEvoy was treated by medics before being taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a conscious and stable state.He is thought to have suffered bruising to the brain and possibly a cracked vertebra, according to www.racenet.com.au.(C) PA Sport
