McKeown ties the knot Leading amateur rider Jason McKeown married his long term girlfriend Linda Mackin in the Church Of the Sacred Heart in Cloghogue, in his native Newry this afternoon. The happy couple were joined on their big day by the country’s top two point-to-point riders Derek O’Connor and Jamie Codd, while fellow Northern jockeys James Smyth, Daniel Fitzsimmons and Noel McParlan were also in attendance. The wedding reception is being held in the well-known Carrickdale Hotel near Dundalk. McKeown who rode out his claim at Ballinrobe in May is best known for his connection with Agus A Vic while he also rode Texas Jack to win the Goffs Land Rover bumper at Fairyhouse last year.
