Owner Barry Connell is looking forward to heading to Royal Ascot for the first time with Inis Meain in the Wolferton Stakes at Royal Ascot next Friday.

Winner of a Listed race at Limerick last time out, the Denis Hogan-trained six-year-old has been a real money spinner for connections.

Bought as a prospective hurdler, Inis Meain has proved far more effective on the Flat since winning his first race at Killarney last summer off a mark of 47.

"He's rated 110 so he's going to be top weight but the form of his last race has worked out really well, the third won a Group Three," said Connell.

"He's in great nick and even though he's got top weight we expect him to run a big race.

"He did his last piece of work yesterday and worked as good as he ever did, so we're hoping for a good run."
