Meehan Upbeat On Junior Bid Brian Meehan believes David Junior has 'improved again' ahead of the colt's ultimate test in the Breeders' Cup Classic.Last year's Champion Stakes hero has only graced the track three times in a light campaign this year but gained top honours in both the Dubai Duty Free and Coral-Eclipse when last seen in July.Preparations have gone to plan ahead of the showcase event at Churchill Downs and Meehan has been thrilled with the four-year-old since his arrival.'Everything's gone well at home and he went through all his paces well so everything is really good,' he explained. And while Meehan has not asked David Junior to exert himself in the run-up to tomorrow's race, he has been pleased to let his charge enjoy some light exercise. He added: 'I haven't done very much with him on the track. He's just jogged the last two days.'He might have a little canter around the bend tomorrow morning but these horses are fit and ready so they don't need to be doing a lot over here.'Jamie sat on him a fortnight ago at Manton and he was really pleased with him and we both actually felt that the horse has improved again,' he told At The Races.(C) PA Sport
