Mendelssohn has Lingfield option Aidan O'Brien's Breeders' Cup hero Mendelssohn and Champagne Stakes winner Seahenge are among the entries for the 32Red Spring Cup at Lingfield on Saturday. The Ballydoyle handler has also given Dewhurst Stakes fourth Threeandfourpence the option of running in the Listed race over seven furlongs. All three are in the mix for the Kentucky Derby and did have the option of travelling over to Kempton on Thursday for a similar event but the bad weather scuppered that. The same three colts are also in the Patton Stakes at Dundalk on Friday evening, a race O'Brien has won in three of the last five years. Richard Fahey's Super Sprint winner Bengali Boys and Jeremy Noseda's promising Lansky are possible Lingfield opponents.
