Meow bids for Group glory Queen Mary runner-up Meow bids for a first Group-race success in the Polypipe Flying Childers at Doncaster today. David Wachman's speedy filly was narrowly denied by Maqaasid at the Royal meeting and has won her only start since at the Curragh. She was returning from two months off that day and only just scraped home from Ladie's Choice, who reopposes. "I think she needed the run the last day, Johnny (Murtagh) said she had a good blow a furlong out," said Wachman. "She's very quick and we'll know where we stand after tomorrow. "It looks a good race, very competitive. It's certainly as strong as it has been for a few years. "We'll just have to see how she gets on tomorrow before we know what she will do next and make our plans one step at a time. "Time will tell if she stays further next year."
