Mister Waits For Fairyhouse

Davy Fitzgerald will bypass a trip to the Cheltenham Festival with his stable star Mister Top Notch.

The eight-year-old landed the Grade One Dr PJ Moriarty Chase on his last start, but Fitzgerald is resisting the temptation to go for the Royal & SunAlliance Chase.

'He's come out of the race fine, but we are not taking him to Cheltenham,' he said.

'He went over last year and got a bit dehydrated so we will aim him at the Powers Gold Cup at Easter (April 8).

'He'll run at Navan on Sunday and then we'll freshen him up for the Powers.'
