Mix Cherry Ripe For Vase Test Godolphin are hoping Cherry Mix can build on his success in Italy on Sunday when he contests the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Vase. The four-year-old is the team´s sole representative at the prestigious meeting and enjoyed a light canter around the Sha Tin all-weather track under work rider Gerry Moylan. Cherry Mix was last seen winning the Gran Premio del Jockey Club on October 16, having previously disappointed in the Prix de l´Arc de Triomphe and Grosser Volkswagen Preis von Baden. “He´s doing well out here,” said travelling head lad Sam Avis. “He didn´t really fire in the Arc for whatever reason, but got back on track in Italy last time out in lesser company. “Hopefully, that will have done his confidence good - I think he´ll handle a fast track okay. “He ran one of his best races ever when second in the 2004 Arc, and the ground was pretty firm that day.”?
