Mixed fortunes for Irish in Melbourne Draw Aidan O'Brien will have mixed feelings with the draw for Tuesday's Emirates Melbourne Cup at Flemington for his pair of Kingfisher and Bondi Beach. O'Brien has never won the Melbourne Cup and this year will see Kingfisher, who is due to be ridden by Colm O'Donoghue, break from stall nine, whereas Bondi Beach (Brett Prebble) has been drawn wide in gate 18. No horse has ever won the Melbourne Cup from stall 18. Compatriot Max Dynamite has a low draw in stall two for trainer Willie Mullins and jockey Frankie Dettori. Red Cadeaux has been drawn in stall eight . Three times a runner-up in the great race, the Ed Dunlop-trained stayer will this year be joined in the line-up by stablemate Trip To Paris, who has been drawn in stall 14. Snow Sky, trained by Sir Michael Stoute and the mount of Ryan Moore, goes from gate 16, while Michael Bell's Big Orange (Jamie Spencer) is in 23 of the 24-runner field. Godolphin's Sky Hunter has been drawn in stall seven for Saeed bin Suroor and William Buick, with the Roger Charlton-trained Quest For More (Damian Lane) in trap 21.
