Mizzava has Kilboy Stakes in her sights Michael Halford is hoping to pick up a decent prize with Mizzava following her fine effort in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot on Friday. The County Kildare trainer has the Cape Cross filly well entered up in the next month with engagements that include the Etihad Airways Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket and the Kilboy Estate Stakes at the Curragh. Although she only has a Limerick maiden success to her name, Mizzava has made great strides with fifth places in the Irish 1,000 Guineas and the Coronation Stakes on her last two starts. "I was very pleased with her. She had a good run in the Irish Guineas and it was a good run again the other day, so we're very happy with her and she's going the right way," said Halford. "There's plenty of scope to her and she's improving all the time. Her owner's are calling to see her so we'll have a chat then. She's in the Falmouth, she's in the Minstrel Stakes and the Kilboy Stakes, which is a fillies' only over a mile and one at the Curragh - that one may be tempting. "We have her entered everywhere but she hasn't done a great deal since she ran. We'll see when she gets going again, but she has plenty of options. "She will have no problem going another furlong so the Kilboy might be ideal as it's nine furlongs."
