Mob Set For Triumph Prep Mobaasher, a half-brother to brilliant Flat performer Russian Rhythm, is likely to have one more run before an assault on the JCB Triumph Hurdle. Now in the care of Charlie Mann after being handled by Sir Michael Stoute on the level, the four-year-old created a big impression when winning on his debut over timber at Fontwell.Bought to run in the colours of Seasons Holidays, the new sponsors of the Queen Mother Champion Chase, he is likely to take his chance in the Racing Post Adonis Juvenile Novices' Hurdle at Kempton this weekend.'Mobaasher hopefully goes to Kempton on Saturday and he's in great form, I'm quite pleased with him,' said Mann.'His jumping wasn't great at Fontwell but he has schooled nearly every day since.'He will either go to Kempton on Saturday or Newbury next week, but he will definitely have one more run before the Triumph Hurdle.'The trip is no problem for him and he has a lot of gears, he'll be a lovely horse for next year.'The owners are sponsoring the Queen Mother this year so they wanted to buy a horse to run at the Festival.'He probably hasn't got the experience of some of the others, but he travels very well which is what you need in the Triumph.'Some people called him a few names on the Flat, but to be honest I think he was unfairly labelled. He was a colt then and I think he was just running on ground that was too quick for him as he is a big, heavy-topped horse.'I watched his races and he carried his head a bit high, but he was never out of the frame and he won a race.'Mobaasher is a 33-1 chance for the Triumph Hurdle in March.(C) PA Sport
