Moran Gra, winner of the Irish Cambridgeshire for Joanna Morgan last month, has been sold to America, where he will go hurdling.

The six-year-old has been a grand servant for Morgan, winning another premier handicap at the Curragh a couple of years ago and finishing third in the Desmond Stakes.

Had he stayed in Ireland he would have been competing off a career-high handicap mark of 106.

The trainer said: "He's been sold to America to go hurdling. Ross Geraghty was schooling him over in Maryland, and he rang me to say he was jumping like a buck."
