"If he had and run well without winning he'd go up another 10lb, so I twisted Michael O'Leary's (owner) arm to let me send him over, then he did that. "Hopefully he'll come back right, but it was very disappointing." Mullins' other Cheltenham raider, Sempre Medici, fared better in finishing second to Old Guard in the StanJames.com International Hurdle, but the trainer feels he has ruined his handicap mark. "I'd say I've thrown away a Ladbroke Hurdle or a County Hurdle or something like that by running (Sempre Medici) in it. It wasn't my cleverest move," the County Carlow handler told At The Races. "I didn't think there'd be as many runners turn up. The favourite (Peace And Co) disappointed and we still can't win. He'll go up 10lb for not winning. "I don't think he'll run in the Ladbroke. "He's going to be up around 158, so it will be hard for him to win now this season. He's going to have to improve to win off that mark, I think."
