Mubtaker Sparkling Ahead Of Lodge Test Marcus Tregoning is confident Mubtaker can continue his rich vein of form when tackling the Group Three Cumberland Lodge Stakes at Newmarket on September 25.The evergreen eight-year-old, runner-up in the 2003 Prix de l´Arc de Triomphe, has bounced right back to his best in recent weeks, landing Listed races at Goodwood and Doncaster. The most recent of those came on Town Moor when he beat sole rival Brahminy Kite in the Troy Stakes after the other three intended runners defected due to the rain-softened ground.'It ended up being a match as the others pulled out because of the ground, but I didn´t think the ground was too bad as they went through it alright,' Tregoning told At The Races.'He has taken his race very well and I think he will run in the Cumberland Lodge later this month at Newmarket.'He is in very, very good form and I could not be more pleased with him - he seems to be at the top of his game at the moment.'I had problems with him earlier this year. He was stiff around the time of the Craven meeting and picked up a bad overreach. He was then sore through his back and it took a while to get him going.'He hasn´t been the easiest to train but once you get him on a roll he keeps going and at the moment he is on that roll and I am looking forward to running him next time.' ?
