Mullaghgloss, who was a creditable fourth in a €50,000 handicap hurdle at Limerick over Christmas, is likely to be back in action in a couple of weeks' time.

The Walk In The Park five-year-old gelding held an entry for Down Royal on Tuesday, but will skip that engagement.

Trainer Andy Slattery said: "Down Royal might be a bit quick for him after Limerick. We were delighted with him in Limerick.

"He'll be out again in a couple of weeks.

"I would be looking at a good handicap down the road and he could travel.

"He's on the go all summer, he'll have to get a break at some stage, and I'm keeping him going because it is his novice year.

"He jumps a fence well, so that's another option."

Mullaghgloss has two victories in the book - a bumper at Galway last October and a qualified riders' maiden hurdle in Thurles the following month.
