Mullins Dealt Another Blow Willie Mullins suffered another blow this season when he reported on Saturday that Davenport Milenium is to miss the remainder of the current campaign. The Smurfit Champion Hurdle contender has a slight tendon strain on his near foreleg.Mullins said: 'There is no question of him running again this season and I'd imagine it will be early next year before he is back racing.'We will wait and see whether he goes back hurdling or switches to chasing although at this stage I'd guess he might stay hurdling.'Mullins has endured a testing season so far. Though he was thrilled when Be My Royal sprang a 33-1 shock in the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup in November, the winner was found to be lame and had to be retired.Worse was to follow in Be My Royal`s subsequent failure of a dope test fortraces of morphine which means he is destined to disqualified. Mullins` star chaser Florida Pearl has also struggled for top form, along with others in his powerful string.
