Mullins has big plans for How's Hannah How's Hannah's winning distance of two lengths didn't tell the full story in the Matchbook 50:50 Grad Series Mares Maiden Hurdle over an extended two-miles-six furlongs at Punchestown. This was the 1/2 favourite's hurdling debut after a Ballynoe point-to-point victory, for Tim Townend, and a wide-margin success in a bumper at this track in January for Willie Mullins. The race boiled down to a match between her and Torpille Dagrostis (13/8), and How's Hannah travelled much the better after two out. She glided clear before the last and Patrick Mullins was able to ease her down along the run-in as Torpille Dagrostis cut the gap to two lengths without troubling the winner. Jockey Mullins said: "I think she’s a very good mare. “I was keen to use one of my 21 rides on her because I just think she’s very good. “We might look at the Grade 3 in Limerick during Cheltenham. “Ideally, we would have run her last week in Clonmel, but it got called off. We’re a week closer now so we’ll see. “Long-term, I’d be hoping she might be one for the Mares Chase in Cheltenham next year. She’s a fine big mare and I love her. “She gallops and jumps. We’ve been very lucky with Tim Townend, when he recommends one you listen.” Additional reporting by Gary Carson
