Champion trainer Willie Mullins completed a fine week at Listowel by saddling a treble as Brahma Bull landed the concluding Listowel Races Supporters Club Slan Abhaile Flat Race at the seven-day Festival.

The easy to back 3/1 chance was prominent throughout, and asserted in the straight for Patrick Mullins to beat Humm Baby

The winning margin was three lengths, with Awbeg Prince a further 11 lengths away in third.

Willie Mullins said, “I was surprised how well he handled that ground. He’s a horse that doesn’t work well at home and is obviously one of those that likes the track better.

“It looks like he could be a good staying prospect and we will go over hurdles with him now.

“Patrick said he was just a different horse today. Down at the start he was very fresh and free, and wanted to get on with the job. Maybe the penny has just dropped with him.”

Mullins was crowned the leading National Hunt trainer at the meeting with six winners, while his two Flat wins (plus a number of places) was enough to capture the top Flat award as well.

For good measure Patrick Mullins was the top amateur over the week with two winners.
