Nicky Richards has left in Native Coral and According To John, but is leaning towards aiming the latter at the Coral Scottish Grand National at Ayr a week earlier. The nine-year-old was having only his second start since November 2007 when fourth to Don't Push It at Aintree on Grand National day. "According To John came out of Liverpool well and seems to be all right," said Richards. "We'll see how he goes for the next few days and see what the ground is like, he may go up to Ayr instead for the Scottish National, ground permitting." Other possibles for Sandown include Grand National also-rans State Of Play, Darkness, Kilbeggan Blade and Zabenz.
