The Willie Mullins-trained Murcia (6/4 favourite), comfortably landed the opener for jockey Brian Hayes, who is also riding at Tramore today. The daughter of Doctor Dino was back in calmer waters after disappointing at the Cheltenham Festival when going off third favourite for the County Hurdle.

The Peter Fahey-trained Chosen Comrade set quick early fractions, which allowed Brian Hayes to settle his mount, and she took up the contest two out before going clear to win by a comfortable 3 lengths.

Speaking after the race, jockey Brian Hayes said: "She loved the nicer ground and it was a well-spotted race for her. She did it well and the flat track around here suited. She travelled and jumped everywhere, and really relaxed, which is important for her as she can be keen."
