Murphy Handed Prince Pierse Ride

Timmy Murphy will be aboard View Mount Prince in Sunday's Pierse Hurdle at Leopardstown.

The six-year-old has been ridden by Philip Carberry on his last five starts, but trainer Pat Hughes confirmed the jockey will not be available.

He said: 'Philip Carberry will be on one of Arthur Moore's so Timmy Murphy rides him.'

View Mount Prince comes into the two-mile feature seeking his fourth win on the bounce after a fine run of form.

After winning over two and a half miles at Navan and Punchestown, he was also successful over Sunday's course and distance last time out.

Hughes added: 'He certainly handles the hurly burly as he won a two-and-a-half-mile race at Navan and he jumped from last to first.

'We went to Punchestown over two and a half miles and he was third at the second-last hurdle and he came through to win by two and a half lengths

'He's won three and has gone up 30lb. He will get the two miles at Leopardstown as he is a two-and-a-half-mile horse in a two-mile race,' Hughes told At The Races.

'He wants two miles at Leopardstown as he stays. I think he has a lovely weight in the race at 10st 6lb.'

View Mount Prince is a best-priced 10-1 with Ladbrokes.
