Johnny Murtagh was out of luck with his one entry at Ffos Las on Tuesday when the infamous Eye Of The Tiger finished a luckless third in a mile-and-a-half handicap.

Having his first start since he played his part in the legendary Barney Coup-inspired gamble last January, the nine-year-old gelding transferred to Murtagh's Co Kildare yard in July.

Eye Of The Tiger (3-1) looked booked to make a winning start for Murtagh as Ross Coakley's partner travelled smoothly into contention deep inside the home straight.

But once runner-up Kashmiri Sunset caused interference with the Irish challenger, the chestnut son of Tiger Hill failed to find any gears and was well beaten by Yaakooum.
