Murtagh undergoing tests on injury Johnny Murtagh is undergoing further tests to establish the extent of facial injuries suffered in a fall at the Curragh on Sunday. Murtagh was injured in an incident leaving the parade ring on Lottie Dod prior to the Group One Keeneland Phoenix Stakes. Another rider in the wars on an eventful afternoon was Joseph O'Brien, who was thrown to the ground when Cristoforo Colombo came down in the Phoenix Stakes, but he escaped with only soft tissue damage. The Turf Club's Dr Adrian McGoldrick said: "Joseph is absolutely fine. I've spoken to him this morning and he's already been riding out. "Johnny is up in St James's Hospital (in Dublin). The clinical assessment was that he'd fractured a small bone under his eye, but he's having scans on it this morning and obviously we'll know a lot more after that."
