Near-Lee there, as clear leader bags Dundalk double Billy Lee completed a Dundalk double today, steering Sedro Woolley (11/2) to win the Celebrate Your Special Occasion At Dundalk Stadium Handicap (Div I) to move the jockeys’ title-leader close to ‘champion-elect’ territory. Earlier successful on last-gasp winner Heart Of You, Lee produced yet another successful waiting-ride on held-up Sedro Woolley, who led narrowly inside the final furlong and defeated Go Out by a half-length. Lee’s double moves him 17 clear of Colin Keane (92-75) in the championship, with eight remaining fixtures. Winning trainer Willie McCreery, who has supplied 17 of Lee’s wins, said "Sedro Woolley just gave himself a bang since his last run and needed time. Sheryl Watson (owner) from South House Stud has been very patient and it paid off. "He's a homebred, she loves him and ‘Sedro Woolley’ is a town in Washington State which that she goes to every now and then. "He needs good ground, so we'll see what the handicapper does and come back up here again. A mile will be grand for him as well." Quotes from Michael Graham
