Needwood Blade Colt Tops Opening Day Of Foal Sale A colt foal from the first crop of Needwood Blade (Lot 168) topped a very strong opening day´s trade at Goffs November Foal Sale when purchased by Prosperous Stud for ?31,000. The foal was consigned by Nafferty Stud.Shortly after Lynn Lodge Stud signed for Lot 170, Arthur Phelan´s Daggers Drawn colt who is closely related to Group winners Suggestive and Rashbag.Meanwhile Lot 76, an Iron Mask colt sent up by Pipe View Stud, also fetched ?30,000 when knocked down to Greenhills Bloodstock.Total turnover for the day reached ?958,700, while a median of ?6,000 and average price of ?8,560 were recorded.The foal sale continues until Friday 17th, with selling commencing at 11am on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 12pm on Thursday and Friday.The Breeding Stock Sale will take place on Saturday & Sunday, beginning at 9.30am both days.
