Jim Bolger is planning a trip to Doncaster’s St Leger meeting with Sea Of Rain following her victory in the Newtownanner Stud Irish EBF Stakes at the Curragh.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained Darkness Falls (4/6) was an all-the-way winner of the John Ormond Wexford Sand Irish European Breeders Fund Maiden. The two-year-old son of Camelot was a promising third on debut at Leopardstown, in which the second has gone on and won, and it was a no-nonsense performance as he made all and kept on strongly inside the final furlong to win by seven lengths under jockey Ryan Moore

I'm from Downpatrick, Co Down and I started riding ponies when I was four-years-old. I went up through Pony Club and then I went to the Horse Sport Ireland Youth Eventing High Performance program. In the process of doing that, I left school and needed a job riding out in the mornings before I did my own horses. I went to Brian Hamilton's in Downpatrick and and built up my interest in racing from there. I really enjoyed the galloping and jumping. After having experience of eventing, going cross country and the show jumping, I thought it helped me with the jumping and schooling of the racehorses.
