Ask Susan justified good support in the opener at Tramore when claiming the mares beginners chase.

John Nicholson 's charge was backed from 7/1 this morning and eventually went to post a 7/2 chance for the two-mile contest.

Mark Enright tracked the leaders before sending his mount to the front heading for the second last fence.

She galloped on strongly in the closing stages to record a seven-and-a-half length success over Jaime Sommers

The winner had been fourth behind Asthuria in a strong mares chase at Limerick on her last outing.

Nicholson said afterwards:- "That's two winners this week now. I'm going on holidays to France tomorrow so I can go now!

"She did it well. She didn't get away as well as we would have liked at the start, but she is a good mare and jumps well. She'll have a summer campaign.

"There is a amateur Flat race at Leopardstown for her now in a fortnight's time.

"Mark gave her a good ride, he does a lot of schooling for me. We have a good partnership together. I think I gave him his first winner over jumps on Great Oak.

"Tramore is a lucky spot for me."

11/8 favourite Karalee was let down by her jumping on her chase debut and eventually finished sixth.
