O'Connell to appeal four-year ban Eddie O'Connell has decided to appeal the four-year ban imposed by the Referrals Committee over his riding of Yachvili at Downpatrick in September 2011. The lengthy penalty was handed out on Monday, and the Turf Club announced today that O'Connell has lodged an appeal. No date has yet been set for the appeal.
