Capable sprinter Ocean's Breath (2/1f) resumed winning ways in Dundalk's BAR 1 Betting 'Supporting Irish Racing' Handicap today, scoring for trainer Ger Lyons, owners Vincent and Geraldine Gaul and jockey Colin Keane.

Successful in a course maiden last April, the Bated Breath-colt today notched his third success, from seven starts, when scoring a half-length success over Valiant Force .

Afterwards Lyons revealed "we had him sold before Champions Weekend but the guy didn't come and pay, and then he was withdrawn before a race that same weekend, as he failed a trot-up. We brought him away, gave him a full set of X-rays and a bone scan and that is who the horse is. He can't trot but can gallop.

"I'm delighted for the owners Vincent and Geraldine Gaul, as they have been super patient, including with the disappointment of having been let down by the sale, which was unfortunate. The horse has never let them down though and it is nice to repay their patience.

"That's him finished for the season and, next year, there is a good pot in him. We will probably bring him home, geld him and give him a break.”
