Oscar Barton out for the season Gordon Elliott's Oscar Barton, ante-post favourite for the Foxhunter Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, will miss that race and the rest of the season. A prolific winner between the flags, he slammed Enda Bolger's classy On The Fringe by 19 lengths at Down Royal over Christmas. Another win in the pointing fields since appeared to have put him spot-on for Cheltenham, but he will have to wait another year to get his chance on the big stage. Elliott announced on his Facebook page: "Sad to say Oscar Barton will be out for the rest of the season, he's a great servant to the yard and connections, winning 5 Point-to-Points and a Hunter Chase. "All being well he will be back between the flags next season."
