Gallant Oscar remains in contention for the Coral Scottish Grand National on Saturday.

Tony Martin had been looking at the Crabbie's Grand National for his nine-year-old but he didn't make the cut.

Martin can also call upon Guess Again and Heathfield at Ayr, while Willie Mullins has left Are Ya Right Chief in and Mouse Morris might be represented by Rogue Angel.

Gordon Elliott is responsible for Bless The Wings, and Noel Meade's Bose Ikard is another potential Irish raider, as is the Jim Dreaper-trained Midlands National hero Goonyella. Raz De Maree chased him home at Uttoxeter and Sandra Hughes has left him in the race.

A total of 54 horses remain in the mix, with the weights currently headed by Sam Winner.

Apart from Cause Of Causes, who has been withdrawn after finishing eighth to Many Clouds at Aintree, the leading ante-post fancies have stood their ground.

They include Catching On, who is a possible final mount in the race for the soon-to-retire Tony McCoy.
