Dark Outsider (10/1) gained a sixth career win at Cork today as the James Dullea trained ten year old helped jockey Paul Townend complete a double on the day in the Paddy Power Onside App Handicap Chase.

Townend earlier won on the Willie Mullins trained Robin Des Carlow and doubled his score on Dark Outsider, who beat Just A Normal Day by a length and three parts.

Afterwards Dullea stated “we’re in real bonus territory with him now because that’s his sixth win for the yard.

"I expected him to run well — I couldn’t believe he drifted in the betting - but he did it easy in the end.

"He was up there all the way and that’s the best way to ride him. Paul had a word with Danny Mullins, who normally rides him, and he was excellent on him today.

“He’s very versatile trip-wise, and he’ll even go on a bit of soft ground. It’s really about if you can get away in front on him and dictate it on his terms, like he did today. I think that’s more important to him than the trip.

“We’ll see what the handicapper does with him, but we'll be looking for something similar."
