Oxx Planning Double Classic Bid Trainer John Oxx has told The Irish Times that he intends running both Naughty Or Nice and Bengala in Saturday's €400,000 Darley Irish Oaks. Naughty Or Nice suffered a slipped saddle when losing her unbeaten record in the Group 2 Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot and Oxx said: "We have to see how she works but the plan is to run on Saturday. We wanted to find out where she fitted in at Ascot but it turned into a disaster so that didn't come to pass. She has the Oaks entry so we will let her take her chance. Bengala also ran below expectations last time out when fifth in the Munster Oaks on ground that may have been too quick for her at Cork but the trainer is hoping that ground conditions will be more in her favour on Saturday. Oxx also commented on the decision by Godolphin to send five two year olds to be trained by the Curragh handler: "I first trained horses for Sheikh Mohammed 30 years ago so we're renewing an old association. I'm very pleased about it and hopefully we can win some races with them."
