Hartani is likely to have one more run before going for glory in either the English or Irish St Leger in September.

The three-year-old colt has won the last three of his four starts and has taken a shine to testing conditions.

Trainer John Oxx is hoping the son of Shirocco will be equally effective on faster ground.

"We will have to see if he can be as good on faster ground. He goes very well on the soft," Oxx told At The Races.

"We're not in a hurry with him. He's in the Legers and we're looking at a race before that.

"There's the Voltigeur at York and he's in the St Leger Trial at the Curragh at the end of August over a mile and six, so that's probably more likely.

"He's done well since his last run at the Curragh and put on a bit of weight, but we're trying to give him a bit of time.

"He had a few races fairly quick together so we want to give him a little interval then start again."
