Palazzo sole Irish Lowther entry Once-raced maiden Il Palazzo is the sole Irish entry for the Jaguar XF Sportbrake Lowther Stakes at York next Thursday. Aidan O'Brien could be represented by the well-bred daughter of Giant's Causeway, who finished down the field on her only start in a Leopardstown maiden. John Gosden's highly impressive Royal Ascot winner Newfangled heads 18 entries for the Group Two contest. The Fappiano filly romped home in the Albany Stakes in June but hasn't been seen since, unlike fourth from that race Amazanos who ran at Sandown since and that pair could meet again. William Haggas could run impressive Ripon winner Rosdhu Queen, who runs today (Friday) at Newbury, while the in-form Mark Johnston has Baileys Jubilee entered. Richard Hannon's Sky Lantern, Jeremy Noseda's The Gold Cheongsam, David Brown's Pearl Sea and James Fanshawe's Badr Al Badoor are other interesting entries.
