Brown Panther will head to Glorious Goodwood next before attempting greater riches following his latest victory at Pontefract.

The star of Michael Owen's Manor House stables in Cheshire is being aimed at the Glorious Stakes ahead of the Irish St Leger, in which he was narrowly beaten into third place behind Royal Diamond last September.

And if all goes to plan, a trip to Australia for the Melbourne Cup in early November will be the ultimate target.

"He's in good shape. We're happy with him. He's not done a lot since (Pontefract) and all being well we'll straight go to Goodwood," trainer Tom Dascombe told At The Races.

"He seems really happy and has kept all his enthusiasm for the game.

"It's Goodwood next I hope and then all being well we'll go for the Irish St Leger. Then we'll see if we take a trip to Australia after that. That's still very much in our mind.

"We got beat on the day in Ireland last year, that's all you can say, but if we can get him back there in the same shape things might be different this year."
