Part-owned by footballer Michael Owen, Brown Panther has bounced right back to his best after he inexplicably flopped at Chester on his seasonal reappearance. "I think he'll have a few days off after that," said Dascombe. "We're looking at the Irish St Leger for him, that looks the obvious thing to do next. "After that I think we may look at running him in the Breeders' Cup Marathon. "I was really proud of him yesterday, he was beaten by some very, very good horses. "It was a solid performance and it makes his flop at Chester all the more strange. "We'd picked that race out especially for everybody and for whatever reason he just didn't fire, but he's back to his best now."
